Matthew has had a wide range of experience including marketing, agency and contract work through to B2B and B2C publishing. Most recently Matthew was part of the procurement team at Future Publishing, one of the UK’s leading consumer magazine publishers. At Future Publishing Matthew headed up print purchasing, achieving significant reductions every year and also ran the first e-auction in the magazine industry. In addition he was also involved in the procurement of post, advertising production services and payroll and other HR services as well as number of other projects, all of which led to significant reductions to Future Publishing’s bottom line costs.

As a result Matthew has experience of the variety of company cultures that exists for print buyers. From his experience working on projects in sectors other than print he is also able to bring relevant experience of different market sectors to your solutions. This means that Print & Procurement can often bring a different approach to a project.

Matthew has good knowledge of the different print markets throughout the UK, Europe and the Far East and of the benefits and pitfalls in each market.

Matthew is conversant with the latest e-sourcing techniques and has experience of running e-auctions. As importantly, we recognise when use of these techniques is advantageous for a project and when it may be more beneficial to use more traditional processes.
